One of our favourite retro publishers EastAsiaSoft has announced its latest console release Popotinho’s Adventures. The retro-style platform adventure is bouncing onto Xbox, Switch and PlayStation on the 22nd of January 2025. The game uses the standard tropes of navigating levels filled with enemies, tricky platform sections and lots of items to collect to build your score.

Guide Popotinho safely back to his home as you run, hop and double-jump your way through side-scrolling platformer stages inspired by genre classics. Collect fruit to earn extra lives, grab hearts to replenish health and more as you traverse 50 tricky landscapes, from grasslands and forests to the dark of falling night. Use springboards to reach new heights and touch flagpoles to set checkpoints along the way. Avoid spike traps and hop on enemies’ heads to keep Popotinho safe. Can you reunite him with his parents and restore happiness to Popotinho’s holiday?

Popotinho’s Adventure features 50 levels of challenging platform action as well as traps, flagpole checkpoints and colourful pixel art. In true EastAsiaAfot style, the game will cost a budget-busting $4.99 on release.
