Call of Elyndra: New Retro Farming ARPG by Quorum

Call of Elyndra, a retro-inspired farming action RPG, has been officially announced by indie developer Quorum Games. The game blends elements of classic 2D action RPGs, reminiscent of titles like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, with cozy farming mechanics akin to Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon. Set in a pixel-art world with hand-crafted assets, Call of Elyndra promises players the freedom to engage in both farming and adventuring or focus on one aspect depending on their play style.

The story follows three adventurers who, after being guided by an odd dream, find themselves in the remote village of Elyndra. After helping the locals retrieve a kidnapped child, they are granted a plot of land to farm. However, as tensions rise between independent villages and an encroaching Empire, players are thrust into a larger conflict. The game offers real-time combat with dodge rolls, special powers, and various tools to aid in both combat and exploration.

In addition to its core storyline, which is expected to last around 30 hours, Call of Elyndra includes side activities like fishing and relationship-building with NPCs. Players will have the choice to balance farming and questing or focus solely on one. A demo is set to release on December 2, 2024, offering 30-45 minutes of gameplay that introduces farming mechanics, the first dungeon, and the primary antagonist. While no official release date has been announced yet, the game will be available for PC via Steam, with potential console ports in the future.
