BattleTanx was a Nintendo 64 game released exclusively in the USA in 1998, it was followed by a sequel, BattleTanx: Global Assualt, the following year. This second game was also released on the PlayStation and saw a much wider release compared to the first one. There was also a Game Boy Color title that was reworked using the game mechanics that saw a wider release.

Both games were quite well received when reviewed by game journalists at the time but the series grew a cult following due to its over-the-top action and destruction. Now, retro publisher Limited Run Games is looking to revive those memories of blowing up iconic buildings such as the Eifel Tower with a new reprint of the game in its signature style. 

Both of the Nintendo 64 versions games are set for pre-orders to begin on the 22nd of November 2024 until the 22nd of December 2024 with an expected release in August 2025. The games will retain the Rumble Pak and Memory Pak support as well as all the original modes including deathmatches and capture the flag.
