Aspyr has released Update 4 for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, bringing a variety of bug fixes, visual improvements, and quality-of-life changes to the collection. This update, available as of November 4, 2024, addresses issues across Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider III, enhancing the overall player experience.
Key Fixes and Improvements
Tomb Raider I:
- Softlock Fix: A softlock issue in The Great Pyramid level has been resolved.
- Control Fixes: Inverted settings now work correctly when holding the Look button in Tank Controls.
- Graphical Adjustments: Fixed issues with stretched Doppelganger limbs in the Atlantis level and improved medi-pack textures in the SD version.
- FMV and Audio Fixes: Full-motion video (FMV) stuttering has been fixed across all consoles, and an issue where audio would mute instead of pausing when opening the inventory has been resolved.
- Skybox Enhancements: Skyboxes have been improved, including adding rainbows in the India levels.
Tomb Raider III:
- Visual Upgrades: The Thames Wharf level has received various visual upgrades.
- Modern Controls: Improvements have been made to aiming, turning, and sprinting when using modern controls. Additionally, character head bobbing in cutscenes has been reduced.
- Boss Health Bars: Players can now toggle boss health bars on or off.
Additional Features:
- Localization Fixes: Various localization and achievement text issues have been addressed.
- Society of Raiders Sign-Up: Players can now sign up for The Society of Raiders via a QR code in the main menu under Tomb Raider III, offering access to franchise news and rewards.
