A couple of weeks ago, we reported that the EGM Compendium crowdfunding campaign had amassed over $250k in backer donations. Well, since then the campaign has not slowed down and has now sailed over the $500k mark. This incredible amount has unlocked some extra perks including better quality paper and extra articles in the final book. One of the biggest new unlocked perks is the commemorative fold-out cover that will feel like a cherry on top and add a premium finish to the book.
As soon as the $500,000 milestone was hit, the crowdfunding page was updated by the project staff. They added “We’ll commission an artist to create a crossover-packed fold-out cover for EGM #265, as homage to the iconic cover of EGM #100. (Stay tuned for an announcement on the artist in the days ahead.) We’ll also include a poster of the art with every physical copy of the magazine we send to backers.”
The project campaign still has over a week to go so who knows how high the final total will be. But in the meantime, those looking to get a dose of nostalgia can still get an order in.
