A new fan book dedicated to Wolf Gang and Skull Fang has been released, showcasing abandoned projects for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and arcade platforms. This fan book is part of a special edition box set offered by City Connection, which is promoting the upcoming release of boosted versions of these games for the Sega Saturn.
The fan book includes rare and previously unseen proposals for two unreleased Data East projects: a Super Famicom version of Wolf Fang and an arcade game titled Battle Fang. The Super Famicom version of Wolf Fang was not meant to be a direct port, suggesting it would have featured unique elements or modifications compared to its original release. The arcade game Battle Fang was also in development but never reached completion.
City Connection has shared images from these proposals, which include sketches of characters, logos, level designs, and potential arcade cabinet configurations. These materials were discovered during the development of the upcoming reissues and provide a unique glimpse into the creative process behind these abandoned projects.
