Geometry Dash Inspires Impressive NES Fan Demake ‘Famidash’

The acclaimed mobile game Geometry Dash has inspired an impressive fan-made demake for the NES, known as Famidash. Developed by a passionate team of fans, this project translates the rhythm-based platforming excitement of the original game for the classic Nintendo Entertainment System.

  • Level Recreation:Famidash includes 14 levels painstakingly recreated from Geometry Dash, all coded in 6502 assembly language to function on NES hardware.

  • Gameplay Mechanics: The game preserves the essential mechanics of navigating through levels without checkpoints, requiring players to restart upon failure. Additionally, it features a practice mode that allows players to set checkpoints for mastering challenging sections.

  • Multiplayer and Customization: The NES version introduces two-player multiplayer options and customizable icons, enhancing the personalized gaming experience.

  • Music and Sound: The game showcases chiptune adaptations of the original soundtrack, amplifying the retro atmosphere while retaining the lively music beloved by fans.

  • Additional Features: It includes various gameplay modes such as dual mode, wave, spider, swingcopter, robot, and more. Players can also utilize an SNES Mouse with compatible emulators for improved control precision.
