Starting October 2, 2024, the Nintendo Museum in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, will feature a Pokemon-themed manhole cover known as “Poke-futa.” Each cover boasts a unique design and can be found in various tourist destinations and public facilities across Japan.
The newly unveiled design showcases Pikachu in an action pose alongside the Game Boy, the console on which the original Pokémon Red and Green games were released.
This Poke-futa was announced by Takahito Utsunomiya, COO of The Pokémon Company, and Shuntaro Furukawa, President of Nintendo. It will be installed within the Nintendo Museum premises.
