These new color variants pay homage to the original Game Boy Color lineup and are part of Analogue’s ongoing strategy to offer nostalgic, high-quality retro gaming experiences. The Analogue Pocket is known for its ability to play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance cartridges, among others, using FPGA technology for hardware emulation, which provides a more authentic gaming experience compared to software emulation.
As with previous limited edition releases from Analogue, these new colorways are expected to sell out quickly due to their limited quantities and high demand among retro gaming enthusiasts. Alongside the release of these new editions, Analogue is also planning a software update for the Pocket, although details about the update have not been fully disclosed yet.
