Resident Evil 2 Launching on GOG

Resident Evil 2 is set to be released on GOG. The original Resident Evil 2 will be re-released on the platform, with the release date confirmed as August 27th. This release is part of a collaboration between Capcom and GOG to bring the original Resident Evil trilogy to the platform, featuring quality of life improvements and enhanced compatibility for modern systems. The version being released on GOG is based on the original 1999 Windows 98 release, not the Sourcenext version, which is known for higher quality full-motion videos.
