The FlippyBird is a new GameCube mod developed by Chris P Ville, known for his work on the FlippyDrive ODE. This mod introduces a special receiver that allows you to connect four WaveBird controllers to your GameCube simultaneously. Traditionally, each WaveBird controller requires its own receiver, which is plugged into a controller port on the GameCube, and each controller-receiver pair must be set to a unique channel to avoid interference. The FlippyBird mod simplifies this setup by enabling multiple WaveBirds to connect through a single receiver, streamlining multiplayer gaming on the GameCube.
While I wait for launch, I designed a quad WaveBird receiver, the FlippyBird. Installs internally with auto wired controller passthrough, can be used standalone via USB, solderless, config-via-controller so you never see it. Should be cost competitive vs a single oem receiver pic.twitter.com/tqeiofjUyJ
