Gimmick! 2 is set to launch on September 5, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One shortly after the initial release. Developed by Bitwave Games and published by Clear River Games, Gimmick! 2 is a sequel to the original Gimmick! platformer released in the early 1990s.

The game continues the adventures of the green hero, Yumetaro, featuring new characters, locations, and secrets. It retains the challenging platforming action of its predecessor while introducing a new easier mode for a more relaxed gameplay experience. The game also includes a unique physics-based Star mechanic, which is central to the gameplay.
Renowned British composer David Wise, known for his work on Donkey Kong Country and other classic games, has composed the soundtrack for Gimmick! 2, adding to the game’s nostalgic appeal. The game will be showcased at Gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 to 25.
