Square Enix is reintroducing two initiatives to attract Final Fantasy XI players back to the game: the FFXI Return Home to Vana’diel Campaign and a discount sale. These promotions will run from August 23 to September 2, 2024, and are available to PC players and former PS2 or Xbox 360 account holders who switch to Windows PCs. Players with canceled accounts as of August 20, 2024, can enjoy a ten-day free play period if their Square Enix account is linked to PlayOnline with an active FFXI service account.
The discount campaign offers substantial reductions on several items: the Ultimate Collection at $9.99 (67% off), the Seekers of Adoulin expansion for $4.99 (50% off), and a world transfer for $9. Additionally, these campaigns coincide with various in-game events, including the August version update, the Green Festival, and the Sunbreeze Festival, as well as featuring an Assist Channel to connect new players with veterans.
