Hideo Kojima is best known for the “Metal Gear” series, but he has also created other impressive works, such as “Policenauts,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024 since the PC version was released in 1994. Initially released for PC, this adventure game was later ported to multiple platforms, including 3DO, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn. Unlike Kojima’s earlier game “Snatcher,” which relies solely on a command selection system, “Policenauts” allows players to explore locations interactively using a cursor. The later versions of “Policenauts” feature CG graphics and animated cutscenes, offering a more cinematic experience compared to the pixel art of “Snatcher.”
