Ranma ½: Hard Battle The Video Game

Street Fighter II, a groundbreaking fighting game known for its intense gameplay and competitive nature, sparked a craze for fighting games in the early 1990s. This led to a surge of fighting games being developed for the SNES, including Ranma ½: Hard Battle, released on the Super Nintendo. Unlike many SNES fighters, Ranma ½ was not based on an arcade game but rather drew inspiration from a popular anime and manga series. The game made a significant impact within gaming communities at the time, standing out as one of the first Japanese SNES games to reach the US with minimal alterations. While staying faithful to its original source material doesn’t guarantee a game’s quality, it certainly leaves a lasting impression on players.
