Wayô Records will release Yuzo Koshiro’s soundtrack for The Story of Thor, a popular Sega Mega Drive/Genesis action RPG known as Beyond Oasis in North America. The limited edition double-LP will be available in September, with pre-orders currently open. The game, originally released in Japan in 1994 by Koshiro’s studio Ancient and published by Sega, received acclaim for its impressive pixel art and outstanding sound design. Despite being launched late in the console’s life cycle, The Story of Thor is considered one of the top RPGs and has been recognized in numerous “best Mega Drive/Genesis games” and “best Mega Drive/Genesis RPGs” lists.
