Developer M2 has released Kyukyoku Tiger-Heli: Toaplan Game Garage, a collection of retro shoot ’em ups by Toaplan, for PlayStation 4 and Switch in North America. The collection is priced at $34.99. For an additional $17.99, players can also purchase the “Console Ports + Get Star Pack” downloadable content.
Originally launched in Japan on October 28, 2021, the collection includes the beloved Tiger games – Kyukyoku Tiger and Tiger-Heli. With Arcade modes for an authentic experience and a Super Easy mode for beginners, players can enjoy the games at their desired level of challenge.
The collection also offers M2 Gadgets, which can help players enhance their skills and uncover hidden aspects of the games. The downloadable content expands the collection by including console ports of Tiger-Heli and Kyukyoku Tiger, along with the rare beat-’em-up game Get Star and its Western version Guardian. This allows players to experience various console versions of the Tiger games and the arcade rarity of Get Star.
In Get Star, players can battle enemies across six planets while controlling a powerful robot. With these additions, the base game becomes even more extensive and diverse, providing shoot ’em up game enthusiasts with an all-encompassing gameplay experience.
