64 Dreams Book Smashes Kickstarter Target

64 Dreams book

64 Dreams is a forthcoming new book by Andrew Fisher about great games for the 8-bit Commodore 64 home computer.

The aim of the book is to celebrate the “most excellent games” on the popular format.

The book will be published by prolific retro games book publishers Fusion Retro Books, who previously published a similar title in the form of ZX Dreams by Graeme Mason, which celebrated some of the best games on the Commodore 64’s biggest rival, the ZX Spectrum.

It only seems fitting that if the ZX Spectrum has a ZX Dreams book, the the Commodore 64 should have a 64 Dreams book as well, and even though the project smashed its Kickstarter target in just one day, you can still back the project on Kickstarter, with Kickstarter rewards on offer including a digital copy of 64 Dreams as a PDF, a physical copy of 64 Dreams, or a physical copy of 64 Dreams signed by Andrew Fisher.

The author of 64 Dreams, Andrew Fisher, is a huge Commodore 64 fan who really knows his stuff, and he is a regular contributor to several video games magazines, including Retro Gamer and Fusion.

The Kickstarter campaign for 64 Dreams launched yesterday (April 24, 2025), and it will run until May 8th 2025. The 64 Dreams Kickstarter campaign has already smashed its target of £6,000, standing at £9,999 at the time of writing, so 64 Dreams will certainly be coming true!
